Sewer Collections Technician

About the role

The Sewer Collections Technician position within the Utilities Department is responsible for regular maintenance, repair, and installation of the Wastewater System. The role also includes occasional weekend and holiday work, requiring the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair sewer systems
• Install new sewer infrastructure
• Respond to emergency calls related to wastewater issues
• Perform routine inspections and monitoring of the system
• Operate and maintain collection vehicles and equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Georgia driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Knowledge of plumbing and wastewater systems
• Experience with heavy equipment operation

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar field
• First aid and CPR certification
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in computer software relevant to the job

Pay

$18.50 - $21.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
