Sewer and Water Laborer

Responsibilities

• Install residential sewer and water service lines for new homes
• Perform underground utility work including trenching, grading, and backfilling
• Affix pipe installation (PVC, ductile iron, copper, HDPE)
• Operate construction tools and equipment such as skid steers, trenchers, and compactors
• Load/unload materials and support daily job site operations
• Maintain a safe, organized job site in compliance with OSHA standards
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sewer/water installation, underground utilities, civil construction, or residential/commercial plumbing
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, digging, and standing
• Reliable, consistent attendance, strong work ethic
• Effective team collaboration

Preferred

• CDL
• Experience operating skid steers/excavators
• Site preparation knowledge
