Laborer - Water, Sewer & Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Water/Sewer/Construction Laborer to join our team in Gulfport, MS. In this permanent, full-time role, the laborer will assist the crew with the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water and sewer lines.

Responsibilities

• Help with installation, repairs, and maintenance of water and sewer lines.
• Assist crew with completing work orders and meeting benchmarks.
• Support the installation of new water and sewer taps.
• Ensure daily operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
• Participate in a rotating call/OT schedule, working one week at a time.

Requirements

• Knowledge of water and sewer line repair and installation is a plus.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of assigned equipment.
• Familiarity with work hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to deal with the public on a regular basis in a professional, courteous manner.
• Capability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions (all work is conducted outdoors).
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.

The successful candidate will have to pass a background check which includes criminal background and motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug and alcohol screenings.
