Position Overview

As an Underground Laborer, you will assist our sewer underground team with sewer repairs, replacements, inspections, and installations. You'll help prepare job sites, operate tools and equipment, support excavation activities, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. This is a physically active role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a willingness to learn new skills every day.

Responsibilities

• Assist the sewer underground team with sewer repair and replacement projects
• Help prepare, maintain, and clean job sites before, during, and after work is completed
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment
• Support excavation and backfilling activities while following safety procedures
• Operate hand tools and equipment under the direction of experienced team members
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and work areas in a clean and professional condition
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times
• Assist with material handling and project setup to keep jobs moving efficiently
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to team success overall

Qualifications

• Construction, labor, landscaping, utility, plumbing, or related experience preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Strong attendance, reliability, and personal accountability
• Ability to follow directions and work safely around equipment and excavation sites
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Open to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement

Pay

$20 - $22 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
