Setup Tech II

About the role

This position is a high-level machine operator role responsible for accurate and efficient mold set-ups and start-ups to maintain high level machine output and utilization.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Set-Up Tech I responsibilities.
• Maintains proper operation of mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoots and resolves processing problems as they arise.
• Maintains quality control by monitoring scrap and making necessary process changes.
• Monitors and executes plans and activities based on schedule of priorities.
• Collaborates with other departments to achieve common goals.
• Completes daily system transactions accurately within AS400 and Mattec systems.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Works collaboratively with team members, demonstrating respect and open communication.
• Contributes to achieving departmental key performance indicators through effective performance and teamwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Plastic injection/molds.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accurate and efficient mold set-ups and start-ups to maintain high level machine output and utilization.

Qualifications

• Understands or has the ability to understand the documented run parameters for new or existing department molds/materials.
• Possesses technical skills and experience, or the aptitude to learn and apply the skills necessary for efficient processing and troubleshooting.
