Setup/Block Operator - 2nd Shift
About the role
You’ll be empowered to lead, supported to grow, and proud of the impact we create together. This onsite role reports to the Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up blocking equipment to process stators according to production requirements, ensuring proper tooling, setup verification, and adherence to standard work procedures.
- Inspect and verify product quality throughout the blocking process by evaluating windings, leads, insulation, end turns, and other critical features to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain safe and efficient production flow by handling materials properly, following all safety requirements, utilizing appropriate material handling equipment, and keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Support operational excellence and teamwork by following process controls, communicating production or quality concerns, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; 1+ year of manufacturing experience, military service, or relevant vocational/technical training preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to work any assigned shift.
- Detail-oriented with strong quality focus; able to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks; lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs; operate machinery for extended periods; wear required PPE.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
