About the Role

A well-established title and settlement services firm is seeking an experienced Settlement Attorney to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with real estate professionals, buyers, sellers, and lenders while supporting a high-volume residential real estate settlement practice.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and interpret deeds, contracts, powers of attorney, trust documents, title reports, and other settlement-related legal documents.
  • Conduct residential real estate settlements from contract through closing.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders throughout the transaction process.
  • Review land records and chain-of-title documentation.
  • Resolve title issues, claims, and other curative matters.
  • Develop and deliver educational presentations and training programs for real estate professionals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Assist with additional legal and settlement-related matters as needed.

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in Virginia required.
  • Minimum 3 years of residential real estate title and settlement experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Virginia real estate law, title examination, and settlement procedures.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Pay

$150,000–$170,000 annually (based on experience).

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
