Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in compliance with safety guidelines and lean principles, adhering to all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Program, set up, and operate numeric control or computer numeric control machines for turning, drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring, welding, and other machining operations.
  • Operate equipment to load/unload, gather materials/components, position work areas, and set parameters.
  • Utilize hand tools, specialty tools, and measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Facilitate Kanban inventory system accuracy.
  • Edit and modify numeric control programs.
  • Determine operation sequence, select, and adjust tools for complex machining tasks requiring tight tolerances.
  • Inspect parts using gauges/measuring devices and review blueprints/diagrams to ensure components meet specifications.
  • Complete paperwork related to production reporting.
  • Maintain work areas by cleaning and organizing.
  • Communicate ethically with Parker’s customers, suppliers, colleagues, and the public.
  • Participate in company-sponsored training programs.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Understanding of gauging/measuring devices.
  • Blueprint understanding (geometric tolerancing).
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and organize work/priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
  • 3+ years of previous machining experience preferred.
  • Understanding of G-Code programming preferred.
