2nd Shift Set Up Technician

Overview

This is a Union Position - Starting Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour, 2nd Shift, Hours - Monday to Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm.

Scope of the Role

• Maintain optimal throughput while monitoring equipment.
• Provide guidance to line personnel on equipment operation.
• Inform supervisors of potential equipment issues.
• Disassemble/assemble filling/packaging equipment as necessary.
• Set Lot/Batch numbers and expiration dates based on customer orders.
• Ensure components are checked by supervisor and QA personnel before setup.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and minor repairs with maintenance personnel.
• Support and lead process improvement initiatives.
• Document activities in Area/Equipment Log Book.
• Notify supervisors, master mechanics, and/or cleaner coordinator when equipment is ready.

Additional Responsibilities

• Work different shifts as needed.
• Work additional hours as needed.
• Read and write in English.
• Ensure components are checked by supervisor and QA personnel before equipment set up.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and perform minor repairs with maintenance personnel.
• Support and lead process improvement initiatives.
• Document activities in Area/Equipment Log Book.
• Notify Supervisor, Master Mechanic, and/or Set-up & Cleaner Coordinator when equipment is ready.

Experience Required

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated cooperative work conduct and the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• PREFERRED: Knowledge on Comadis tube fillers, Waukesha Pumps, HV/HMM CAM carton machines, Cozzoli Machines, Monoblock 1&2 filling lines, Un-scrambler bottles, Graco Pumps, Campbell Wrapper machines, Jones boxing equipment, SAAS 6,9,15 Unit Dose Filling lines, Filz Alls liquid filler equipment.

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, sit, bend, push, pull, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
• Occasionally lift equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus required.
