Set Up Technician

About the role

This position is for a Production Mechanic at Washington Mills in Sun Prairie, WI. The role is employee-focused with a small-company feel and offers an exciting, rewarding challenge with opportunities for growth and impact.

Responsibilities

• Set up new work orders according to scheduling and set-up specifications
• Complete basic repairs on extrusion and support equipment
• Train as an extrusion operator to learn machines, products, and processes
• Work directly with the Production Manager to coordinate plans for pending work orders
• Support quality assurance efforts through daily monitoring of extrusion equipment and products
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior mechanical or maintenance experience required
• Detail-oriented and able to work unsupervised
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to work well in a team environment
