Set-Up Mechanic
About the role
The position is available for a Shift: 6AM to 3:30PM (E-Shift) Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Support the manufacturing group by completing thermoforming mold set-ups on schedule and in a timely manner.
- Install and remove molds, perform minor and major repairs.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs of equipment.
- Ensure general housekeeping of the work area and equipment.
- Recommend component upgrades to increase productivity or reduce overtime.
- Inspect operating equipment for obvious problems or potential failures and adjust as needed.
- Fill out all related paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and contamination-free work area and equipment.
- Work closely with tool room mechanics to ensure adequate supplies are “on-hand.”
- Understand the difference between various materials in the plant.
- Operate forklifts, hand-jacks, hydraulic cranes, and other powered equipment safely.
- Work at any location within the plant and be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Outstanding work record.
- High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years related experience.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and mechanical skills.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
- Effective teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
- Most routine tasks performed while standing or walking.
- Frequent reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling.
- Frequent turning body from 0 to 180 degrees.
- Good eyesight for constant inspection of product.
- Distance vision, color vision, depth of field, and corrective vision with glasses or contact lenses are essential.
- Frequent walking over 500 feet.
- Frequent climbing stairs.
- Occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or talking.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Pushing and pulling occasionally.
- Controls required include hands/arms (both) and feet/legs (both).
Job Summary

Compensation
The pay range is $25.96 to $33.30 per week, paid weekly.
