Set Up and Service Technician - Derby, VT

Champlain Valley Equipment is an agricultural and light-duty construction equipment business headquartered in Middlebury, Vermont.

About the role

We are seeking a full-time set-up and service technician responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and set-ups on equipment and implements. Primarily seeking an individual interested in specializing in Fisher Snowplow installation and repair.

Dealership hours are 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday and 8:00am to noon on most Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Set up new equipment for product display and sale to consumers.
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairing of equipment including but not limited to small tractors, mowers, ATVs, and handheld landscaping equipment.
• Test and inspect equipment to determine malfunctions, locate missing and/or broken parts, and verify repairs, using diagnostic instruments if needed.
• Set up, repair, and install Fisher snowplows and spreaders on trucks, which will include diagnosis of hydraulic and electrical issues.
• Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used with proper documentation.
• Show customers how to maintain equipment.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude

Training is available in specific product areas, to include Fisher, Stihl, Kubota, and more.
