About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of librarians and providing leadership in the development and implementation of library services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the library, including budget management and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance library services and user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of library resources and services.
- Lead professional development initiatives for the library staff.
- Represent the library on campus committees and external organizations as needed.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a library setting.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
