Sessional Instructional Assistant: KIN8125H1: Clinical Assessment of Movement Capacity

About the role

The Sessional Instructional Assistant will assist with the teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours; and supervising Teaching Assistants assigned to the course, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and submit grades
• Hold regular office hours
• Supervise Teaching Assistants, if applicable

Requirements

• Exercise professional with experience teaching practical, activity-oriented classes
• Skills in assessing movement patterns, designing exercise programs, and coaching clients
• Master-level degree and/or experience in teaching a similar course preferred

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Exercise professional with experience teaching practical, activity-oriented classes; skill in assessing movement patterns, designing exercise programs and coaching clients required.

Skills

• Ability to teach in an in-person format

Benefits

• Salary: $55.25 plus 4% vacation pay
• Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026
• Appointment percentage: 70 hours

Schedule

• Class schedule: Wednesdays 9:00am - noon; Tutorials: Thur. 1:00-2:30pm, Thur 2:30-4:00pm
• Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026
