Course: JRE420H1 F - People Management and Organizational Behaviour
This module spans three inter-related topics: leadership, people management, and organizational behaviour. It provides students with both the theory and practice in how to design, lead, and manage organizations. Topics include theories of leadership, strategy, ethics, designing organizations for rapid change and differing cultural environments, communication, job design, managing and motivating people, fostering creativity, and teamwork. In addition to traditional lectures, exercises and case studies will be used throughout.

Size of appointment: Head SIA (120 hours), SIA (100 hours)
Scheduled sections: Thursdays (5-6 or 6-7 p.m.)
Sessional dates of appointment: September 1 - December 30, 2026
Responsibilities
- Conduct and debrief role plays
- Assist individuals or teams with assignments
- Invigilate assessments and grade assignments/assessments
- Attend preparatory or training sessions
- Communicate with students in response to their inquiries
Head SIA will also coordinate with other TAs and provide administrative assistance.
Requirements
Preferred qualifications: PhD or Masters with a strong background in organizational behavior and management. Engineering background is an asset, as is previous teaching experience in this or a similar course.
Pay
$55.27/hour
