SERVICEPERSON V (Painter)

Qualifications

• Completion of ninth grade or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read and write to follow schedules and written instructions.
• Demonstrate ability to operate painting support equipment, including stripping machine, man-lifts, bucket trucks, etc.
• Demonstrate ability to load, tow, and transport equipment on trailers.
• 3 years of verifiable commercial painting experience required.
• Must have a Commercial Driver's License or minimally possess a CDL permit (passed the written portion of the CDL exam).
• Required to obtain CDL license within 90 days of employment.
• No DUI violations within the last 5 years.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move and lift up to 75 lbs. required.
• Walks or stands up to 6 hours per shift.
• Sits for up to an hour per shift (including breaks, lunch, etc.).
• Kneel, squat, stoop, or bend to perform tasks.
• Climbs stairs and ladders.
• Frequently reaches from floor to overhead level.
• Frequently bends forward at the lower back to perform tasks.
• Frequently lifts items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Uses a variety of hand tools and powered tools.
• Passes a physical examination including alcohol and drug screen.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Physical Qualifications

• Must meet U.S. Department of Transportation physical qualifications for drivers as adopted by the Georgia Public Service Commission.
• Must be certified as meeting the physical certification requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation physical qualifications for drivers found in 49 C.F.R. Section 391.41.
