ServiceNow System Administrator

This is a 7-month contract position (extension anticipated) for Sumitomo Pharma America, located in Marlborough, MA and fully remote. W2 candidates only; pay is $53.34/hr.

About the role

We are seeking a ServiceNow System Administrator with 3-5 years of experience to support, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow platform in a fully remote environment. The role focuses on platform administration, workflow automation, scripting, instance maintenance, and integration support.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow platform.
• Design, build, and support workflows using ServiceNow Flow Designer.
• Perform ServiceNow instance upgrades, patching, and platform maintenance.
• Manage users, roles, groups, permissions, and system configurations.
• Develop and maintain JavaScript-based business rules, client scripts, and automation.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and provide ongoing operational support.
• Develop and support REST/SOAP integrations with external systems.
• Implement platform enhancements and support ServiceNow best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• ServiceNow System Administrator Certification (required).
• 3-5 years of ServiceNow Administration experience (required).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (required).
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer (required).
• Experience administering ServiceNow users, roles, ACLs, and platform configurations (required).
• Experience performing ServiceNow instance upgrades and maintenance (required).
• Experience developing business rules, client scripts, and platform automation (required).

Preferred Skills

• Experience troubleshooting and supporting ServiceNow platform operations.
• ServiceNow Flow Designer Micro Certification.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Experience developing and supporting REST/SOAP API integrations.
• Prior contract or consulting experience.

Pay

$53.34/hr on W2.

Schedule

Start date: 08/31/2026. Initial assignment runs through the current fiscal year-end, with an anticipated extension.
