ServiceNow Senior Developer
About the role
Guidehouse is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions supporting enterprise IT service management and platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions
- Develop and enhance custom applications, workflows, integrations, UI components, business rules, client scripts, and automation within the ServiceNow platform
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into technical solutions, and deliver scalable platform improvements
- Support ServiceNow platform administration activities including incident resolution, problem analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, ensure solution quality, and maintain alignment with team and enterprise standards
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment activities, and ongoing support of ServiceNow releases and enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience, with at least four (4) years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Strong experience developing on the ServiceNow platform in a senior developer or similar technical role
- Hands-on knowledge of ServiceNow modules, scripting, automation, workflows, integrations, and platform configuration
- Proficiency with JavaScript and other relevant ServiceNow development tools and technologies
- Experience analyzing requirements, designing technical solutions, and delivering high-quality implementations
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Qualifications
- Location: Washington DC/Metro area highly preferred due to client location - up to 25% travel
Skills
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer, Certified System Administrator, or other relevant platform certifications
- Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, or other enterprise integration patterns
- Knowledge of Service Portal, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, or other advanced ServiceNow capabilities
- Experience with Agile delivery practices, DevOps, CI/CD, or automated testing approaches
- Prior experience supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations in a large organization
Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$216,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
