ServiceNow Platform Engineer

The ServiceNow Platform Engineer provides technical and consultative support on the most complex technical matters, analyzes and designs systems based on user specifications, and maintains in-depth knowledge of technical industry trends. This role may assist with training needs or training less experienced staff and may serve as a project leader for specific projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve issues against ServiceNow applications.
- Advise internal teams and lines of business regarding process and technology inefficiencies within the platform.
- Perform routine maintenance, including performance monitoring and error identification/remediation.
- Maintain and improve the overall stability of the platform, ensuring best practices are identified and incorporated.
- Experience with ServiceNow best practices and understand the best solutions to remediate technical debt in the Now platform.
- Manage Instance Security, User/Group access, roles, associated relationships, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
- Provide training and knowledge across the platform to internal teams and external business partners.
- Develop reporting strategy and maintenance plan for platform-wide reporting.
- Strong knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming (OOP).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in application development, ITSM, and ServiceNow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Configuration and modification of the ServiceNow platform in the following areas: IT Service Management (ITSM), Customer Service Management (CSM), Intelligent Apps, HR Service Delivery, Security Operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) or Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Business Management (ITBM), and IT Operations Management (ITOM).
- Familiarity with User Experience Tools, Service Intelligence, and Service Experiences.
- Knowledge and experience working with Web Services, REST, JSONv2.
