ServiceNow Platform Engineer

This is an onsite position available at any Huntington Corporate office location: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Detroit, MI; Birmingham, AL; or other corporate locations.

About the role

The ServiceNow Platform Engineer provides technical and consultative support on the most complex technical matters. This role analyzes, designs, and develops systems based upon user specifications, maintains in-depth knowledge of technical industry trends, and may assist with training or leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve issues against ServiceNow applications
• Advise internal teams and lines of business regarding process and technology inefficiencies within the platform
• Perform routine maintenance to include performance monitoring and error identification/remediation
• Maintain and improve the overall stability of the platform, ensuring best practices are incorporated
• Experience with ServiceNow best practices and remediate technical debt in the Now platform
• Manage Instance Security, User/Group access, roles, associated relationships, and Access Control Lists (ACLs)
• Provide training and knowledge across the platform to internal teams and external business partners
• Develop reporting strategy and maintenance plan for platform-wide reporting
• Apply strong knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming (OOP)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in application development, ITSM, and ServiceNow

Preferred Qualifications

• Configuration and modification of the ServiceNow platform in the following areas: IT Service Management (ITSM), Customer Service Management (CSM), Intelligent Apps, HR Service Delivery, Security Operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) or Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Business Management (ITBM), and IT Operations Management (ITOM)
• Familiarity with User Experience Tools, Service Intelligence, and Service Experiences
• Knowledge and experience working with Web Services, REST, and JSONv2
