ServiceNow Platform Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to build and maintain solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications. The role focuses on hands-on configuration and development — including workflows, Flow Designer, scripting, integrations, UI customization, and platform extensions — while applying best practices that keep the platform clean, upgrade-safe, and performant.

Responsibilities

• Built and maintained solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications
• Developed and configured workflows, Flow Designer, and scripting
• Integrated with REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
• Customized UI and developed ServiceNow App Portal widgets
• Ensured platform upgrades were safe and performed efficiently
• Provided technical support and resolved issues

Requirements

• Shipped meaningful ServiceNow work in production
• Balanced declarative and programmatic approaches thoughtfully
• Wrote maintainable code that survives upgrades and team turnover
• Had strong JavaScript skills including ES5/ES6 patterns used in ServiceNow
• Had deep expertise with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies
• Had experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
• Had hands-on integration experience using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
• Had a strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts
• Had experience with Service Portal widget development
• Had ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential
• Had strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience

Skills

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• Certified Implementation Specialist credentials (ITSM, HR, CSM, ITOM)
• Familiarity with App Engine Studio
• Exposure to multi-instance ServiceNow environments
