ServiceNow Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to build and maintain solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications. The role focuses on hands-on configuration and development — including workflows, Flow Designer, scripting, integrations, UI customization, and platform extensions — while applying best practices that keep the platform clean, upgrade-safe, and performant.

Responsibilities

• Built and maintained solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications
• Developed and configured workflows, Flow Designer, and scripting
• Integrated with REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
• Customized UI and developed ServiceNow Platform Extensions
• Ensured code is maintainable and survives upgrades and team turnover
• Provided technical support and troubleshooting

Requirements

• Shipped meaningful ServiceNow work in production
• Thoughtfully balanced declarative and programmatic approaches
• Wrote maintainable code that survives upgrades and team turnover
• Expertise with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies
• Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts
• Experience with Service Portal widget development
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
• Strong JavaScript skills including ES5/ES6 patterns used in ServiceNow
• Deep expertise with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies
• Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
• Hands-on integration experience using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts
• Experience with Service Portal widget development
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• Certified Implementation Specialist credentials (ITSM, HR, CSM, ITOM)
• Experience with Now Assist or GenAI Controller
• Familiarity with App Engine Studio
• Exposure to multi-instance ServiceNow environments
