About the role
We're seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic team at TRULAND Equipment. This position offers an opportunity to grow professionally while supporting our service department.
Responsibilities
- Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
- Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced.
- Maintains repair order system for completeness, accuracy, and timely billing.
- Maintains service department filings and records and service library with current information.
- Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer repair orders.
- Maintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders.
- May process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission, and follow-up.
- Reviews all pertinent customer comments or suggestions with the location Service Manager.
- Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in Service Department operations preferred.
- Experience with basic accounting practices.
- Experience with basic computer functions.
- Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
- Experience communicating effectively.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Driving record that meets Employer's insurance company requirements.
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience in Service Department operations.
- Basic accounting practices.
- Basic computer functions.
- Cooperative teamwork skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Associates degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
