Service Writer
About the role
This position is based full-time in Tukwila, WA. Our Service Writer position is responsible for managing the administrative areas of our team and is an important role within our Washington operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage many work orders in all parts
- Create work orders using data given by customer or supervisor
- Approve technician's service notes, attach reports and inspection results
- Approve and reject timecards
- Follow a contract and quote by dollar amount and verbiage
- Handle computer-made invoicing
- Email all supporting documents to the customer
- Occasionally schedule technicians
Requirements
- Very simple mechanical knowledge or understanding of the industry (knowing that an engine takes oil, etc.)
- Demonstrate a disciplined ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, works well under pressure in a busy environment that requires multitasking daily
Qualifications & Experience Needed
- Essential Computer Skills: Repetitive typing tasks, copy+paste, Folders: Saving, Filing, Renaming, opening & closing documents, Edit a PDF, Create a Word doc, Excel Sheet, & use Outlook, work off of 2 monitors, ability to learn new programs and CAT specific software
