About the role

As a Service Technician with Stanley Access Technologies, you will service and perform preventative maintenance on Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment. You will handle service and repair work efficiently, record productive versus travel time, and maintain accurate work records and parts usage. Keeping updated on equipment modifications and industry standards (ANSI 156.10) is essential. You will also maintain company vehicles, tools, and parts inventory while fostering strong customer relations.

Responsibilities

  • Service and perform preventative maintenance on automatic door operating equipment and related electro/mechanical systems.
  • Complete service and repair work in a profitable and proper manner.
  • Record and track productive time versus travel time.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to designated service programs for specific customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used at each job.
  • Stay updated on changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property in proper condition.
  • Keep an adequate parts inventory for the service vehicle and log inventory.
  • Maintain good customer relations and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist and instruct others in installation and service methods.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Physical ability to frequently go up and down ladders, stand on concrete for several hours a day, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, crawl, twist spine, work overhead, and lift/carry 50-75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in various climates.
  • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, or on-call as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience servicing automated doors (preferred).
  • Experience in the construction field installing door frames and windows (preferred).
  • Associate Degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial field (preferred).
  • Experience in electrical, automotive, HVAC, or communications fields (a plus).
  • Experience as a glazier installing glass doors/windows or carpentry experience (a plus).
