Service Technician (Solace at Ballpark Village)
About the role
At Mark-Taylor, we are seeking a Service Technician at Solace at Ballpark Village in Goodyear, AZ. The primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the community by handling maintenance repairs and contributing to its upkeep, while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the completion of make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units for the community.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
- Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
- Complete daily pool care, ensuring the pool is in proper chemical balance and the area is free of safety concerns.
- Perform minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
- Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
- Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and be readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
- Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
Requirements
- General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
- Service orientation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience as an apartment turn technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
- A basic understanding of written and verbal English.
Qualifications
Knowledge of building systems, basic computer skills, and experience in related fields such as apartment turn technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician are preferred. A basic understanding of written and verbal English is also required.

Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00-$24.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications is also provided after 90 days from hire.
