About the role
The Service Technician at Redstone at SanTan Village in Gilbert, AZ, plays a crucial part in keeping our communities running smoothly. Your responsibilities include handling maintenance repairs, contributing to the upkeep of the community, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the completion of make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units for the community.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
- Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
- Perform daily pool care, ensuring the pool is in proper chemical balance and the area is free of safety concerns.
- Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
- Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
- Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members, and be readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
- Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
Requirements
- General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
- Previous experience as a Service Technician, or similar title, in the multi-family industry is preferred.
- Previous experience troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC systems is required.
- Must have or be willing to obtain EPA certification upon hire.
- Knowledge of building systems.

Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hr. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications is also provided after 90 days from hire.
