Service Technician - Security

Service Technician – CGL Security Office Location: Westwood, MA Typical Service Areas: Boston, Western MA, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire Position Summary CGL is looking to hire a full-time Service Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair electronic security and video surveillance systems for our customers. You'll join a tight-knit team where senior techs share what they know and new ideas are always welcome. You'll be provided a take-home service vehicle, work independently in the field, and rotate on-call for after-hours emergencies. What You'll Do Provide excellent service to every customer, every timeRespond to service calls, scheduled maintenance, and emergency/after-hours calls (on-call rotates approximately every 8 weeks)Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix problems with security, access control, and video systems — repair or replace parts as neededProgram and configure system softwareFill out clear, accurate service reports after every jobUse hand and power tools (drill, wire stripper, crimper, etc.) and work at heights on a ladder or lift when neededRepresent CGL as the customer's go-to service provider — showing up on time and following through What You Need 3+ years servicing, installing, or programming access control systemsValid driver's license with a clean recordPrevious experience with Software House (required)Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis. Rare overnight travel may be required.Comfortable working at heights and handling hand/power tools as neededAble to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervisionSolid communication skills - you'll be dealing directly with customersAdvanced technical skills related to electronic security and video surveillance systems.Basic computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience Nice To Have Experience Video: Genetec, American DynamicsAccess control: Genetec, CCURE, S2Intrusion: DSC, Bosch About CGL Started in 1998 in an owner's basement and 28 years later, we're still family-run.
