Service Technician - Salina, KS

About the role

The Technician position at Bruckner Truck & Equipment involves diagnosing and repairing various mechanical, electrical, and related equipment failures on trucks and their components. Key responsibilities include using precision instruments and shop machines, reading technical publications, determining part usability, and completing accurate and timely repairs according to published standards.

Responsibilities

• Use tools and diagnostic equipment to diagnose and repair truck and equipment issues
• Read and interpret technical publications and service software
• List and order necessary parts using the dealer management system
• Write detailed descriptions of repairs using the dealer management system
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and company policies
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues
• Maintain certifications and pass physical and drug/alcohol screenings

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to read/write in English
• Proficiency with various computer diagnostic devices and tablets
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass physical and drug/alcohol screenings

Qualifications

Must be able to perform tasks safely and in accordance with company and federal regulations. Must also maintain certifications as required.

Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are essential. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and a positive attitude are also crucial.
