Service Technician - Parking Equipment / Minneapolis area

About the role

We are seeking a Technician to join our HUB Parking Technology team. This position will require on-call duties and involves on-site service and maintenance for our parking and access control hardware and software installations in the Minneapolis area.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service and maintenance for parking and access control hardware and software installations
• Support multiple products, including electronics, mechanical devices, and PC-based systems
• Work with various operating systems and networking technologies
• Offer software and hardware support for clients and other field service technicians
• Assist in the installation of state-of-the-art Parking and Revenue Control systems and Access Control equipment (duties include equipment bolt-down, installation, wiring termination, establishing communications to software host, configuring, and testing new equipment under the direction of a Project Manager)

Requirements

• Electronics technical school training or equivalent experience
• Ability to work on proprietary software, hardware communications, programming, and repair
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Clean driving record
• SQL Server database maintenance and Microsoft Operating Systems knowledge
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly with customers
• Ability to work well within a team environment

Skills

• Knowledge of electronics and mechanical devices
• PC computer skills
• Networking knowledge
• Bonus if you have:
  • MS Windows software and operating system experience
  • Network and/or Communication systems knowledge
  • MS Network and MS A+ Certifications
