What You'll Do:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty emergency vehicles and equipment to ensure peak performance and reliability.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on:
- Fire apparatus
- Dieselpowered trucks
- Emergency response vehicles
- Specialty equipment and systems
- Diagnose and repair:
- Diesel engines
- Drivetrain and suspension systems
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Electrical and multiplex systems
- Water pumps and auxiliary equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance (PM) services and fleet inspections.
- Use OEM diagnostic software, scan tools, and testing equipment to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
- Accurately document repairs, labor hours, and service recommendations using digital work order systems.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure repairs are completed right the first time.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Communicate repair status and recommendations with service leadership and team members.
- Participate in ongoing technical training, certification programs, and skill development initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Diesel repair, Heavy truck repair, Fleet maintenance, Commercial vehicle service, Equipment repair.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience using diagnostic software, OEM service information, and shop equipment.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced service environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain a Class B CDL and required endorsements within the established timeframe.
