Service Technician - Industrial Refrigeration

Preston Refrigeration has been in the commercial refrigeration industry for over 75 years, known for delivering top-tier service and innovative solutions. The Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' facilities operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide Service & Support: Travel to customer facilities across the U.S. to install, repair, maintain, and test facility equipment.
• Problem Solving: Diagnose issues, determine the right solutions, and communicate resolutions to the customer or Service Manager.
• System Start-Ups: Complete pump-outs and start up equipment after construction projects, ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
• Customer Interaction: Build strong relationships with customers while keeping them informed about service progress and solutions.
• Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all safety procedures and ensure incident reporting is timely and accurate.
• Expense Management: Submit accurate and timely expense reports in line with Preston Refrigeration's guidelines.
• Clean Driving Record: Maintain a clean driving record and be prepared to travel extensively across the continental U.S.
• Other Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as needed to keep projects moving forward and customers happy.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or associate degree, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
• PREFERRED: CIRO/CARO certifications, experience with industrial refrigeration systems, and knowledge of electrical components.
• Ability to work well independently with limited supervision.
• Effective communication skills.
