Service Technician I

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Handyman to join our team. In this role you will solve problems and keep properties running smoothly while maintaining a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to ensure every space remains safe, functional, and beautiful for residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance maintenance.
• Complete make-readies for incoming residents.
• Conduct painting, carpentry, and general upkeep to maintain property appearance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies with confidence and efficiency; participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems in top condition.
• Collaborate with the property management team to prioritize repairs and plan larger projects.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance concerns quickly and professionally.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of property maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs; certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable using work order systems or mobile apps to track tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
• Problem-solving mindset, strong attention to detail, and a sense of responsibility.
• Friendly and professional approach when working with residents and team members.
