About the role
MetroPower is seeking Electrical Service Technicians to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and associated equipment while adhering to the National Electric Code (NEC) and equipment specifications.
Responsibilities
- Use diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners, and ammeters to safely and effectively identify electrical problems and recommend repairs.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Exhibit a solutions-based mindset and professionalism during interactions with business owners and operators.
- Document interactions with clients.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Perform additional tasks necessary to build and grow the department.
- Conduct all business interactions in accordance with MetroPower’s mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
- 5-7 years’ experience in the electrical field.
- Professional image and strong trust-building skills.
- Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in using hand tools of the trade.
- Able to wear basic PPE effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with minimal violations.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull 100 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Able to climb ladders, stairs, bend, stoop, and work in all weather conditions.
