Responsibilities
- Work seamlessly with a senior technician.
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance for a variety of commercial equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems.
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Approach every opportunity with a learning mindset.
- Provide high-level customer service.
- Actively participate in NCCER Curriculum.
Requirements
- Understanding of HVAC components and terminology.
- Experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
- Ability to perform maintenance independently.
- Experience with HVAC systems start-up/commissioning.
- Basic knowledge of entry-level HVAC concepts such as basic electricity, air distribution systems, basic troubleshooting, soldering/brazing, etc.
- High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree or certification preferred).
- EPA Certified.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum two years of HVAC experience required.
Skills
- Working knowledge of service tools and testing devices.
- Ability to follow and communicate instructions and directions both verbally and written.
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
