Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain engines and heavy equipment components.
- Overhaul and rebuild engines and heavy equipment components such as torque convertors, final drives, undercarriage, hydraulic pumps, and more.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College and/or continued education in a technical field are a plus.
- Two - Three years’ minimum experience related to construction or power equipment/diesel engine and component service, rebuild and repair is required, preferably with Caterpillar equipment.
- Experience and knowledge in using computer-based scanning/diagnostics software will be required.
- General technical service skills, mechanical aptitude or experience with construction or power equipment required, and strong DC electrical and machine electronic system knowledge is crucial.
- Ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete repairs and manufacturers’ updates, as required.
- Able to adhere to all Safety requirements and Caterpillar contamination control standards.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting/Carrying: 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50 lb. Pulling.
- Standing/Sitting: Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines.
- Dexterity: Normal.
- Repetitive Motions: Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
