Service Technician - Commercial Swimming Pools

About the Role

We are looking to expand our field service team with a qualified Service Technician who has previous pool servicing experience, including maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Install chemical systems
• Install small equipment in the filter room
• Run all control wiring between various equipment in the filter room
• Program and startup all pools, pumps, filters, and accessory equipment
• Maintain chemical balance and monitor pool operation
• Perform basic cleaning of pools prior to turnover
• Handle warranty and service requests after project turnover

Requirements

• Previous Service Technician experience required
• Previous pool construction experience preferred

Skills

• Water chemistry and pool chemical system management
• Control wiring and equipment control wiring (no line voltage)
• Pool equipment operation and servicing
• Communication and coordination
• Documentation and reporting (completed digitally via company-provided iPad with construction software)
• PVC plumbing knowledge (PVC sch 40 and 80 plumbing up to 14” diameter)
• Chemical tubing installation
• Control wiring installation

Location

Service Division: 100% field-based, with 90% local projects and 10% travel projects. The region of work is within 5 hours of our office, with an average distance of 2-3 hours.

Pay

Additional pay is available for employees able to work full-time remote-based travel projects. Service Technicians are paid from the time they pick up the service vehicle and start their route.
