Service Technician - Commercial Kitchen Equipment

Curtze Food Service, one of the nation's largest independent foodservice distribution companies, is seeking a Service Technician focusing on repair and service of commercial kitchen dishwashing and beverage equipment in the Bedford, PA market.

Pay

$18 – $23 per hour plus bi‑annual bonus, commission on parts sold, and rotating weekend on‑call pay.

Schedule

Rotating weekend on‑call rotation for emergency service calls; includes after‑hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain beverage dispensing machines at customer locations.
• Install, repair, and maintain chemical dispensers, including calibration.
• Select appropriate machines, dispensers, and parts according to invoices and service schedules.
• Explain proper operation and cleaning procedures; provide in‑service training to customers.
• Perform emergency repair service after hours, weekends, and holidays on an on‑call rotation basis.
• Report to the Chemical Program Director.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Previous related service repair experience and route experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Plumbing, electrical, and institutional chemical experience are helpful.

Education & Experience

• Associated degree with courses in communication, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance is helpful.
• On‑the‑job training provided for candidates with a maintenance/technical background.
