Under the Hood

The Shop is fully heated with in-floor and traditional heating systems. We have both air conditioning and fans to help maintain a comfortable temperature. Additionally, we have Horman quick garage doors to prevent heat or cold from escaping.

Our Service and Parts team consists of approximately 180 people, and our facility employs around 220 people in total. Our shop operates from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, and we are open on Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Most shifts are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

We offer a variety of amenities, including a large break room with multiple tables, refrigerators, a coffee machine, and a TV. We also have access to several vending machines and nearby restaurants such as Wahlburgers, Starbucks, Dairy Queen, and Chicken Max. We are walking distance from these locations.

We have 37 bays onsite and 3 bays offsite at our reconditioning center. We also have two alignment racks, two flat stalls, a mobile 4-post bay, four mobile vans, and Quick Lane with four pit stalls.

We average roughly 5,000 repair orders per month across our Main shop, mobile team, Quick Lane, and reconditioning center. The Main shop alone handles about 2,400 repair orders per month.

We have a robust parts ordering system. Parts are ordered during the appointment process whenever possible, and our technicians can request parts via Tekion (our DMS) or directly from a parts person. We also have three dedicated parts people who work right in the shop and are readily available to assist with part selection.

You are permitted to work on your own vehicle or a family/friend's vehicle during non-shift hours.

Some unique features of our work environment include:

  • Four mobile service vans conducting vehicle diagnostics before bringing them into the shop for repair.
  • Three dedicated parts people in the shop to assist with part selection.
  • Frequent out-of-work events, such as ax throwing, go-karting, shooting, Dave & Buster's, and grilling.
  • A monthly all-tech meeting where food is provided, and we switch up the menu to include burgers, BBQ, and catering.
  • Lunch is provided on Saturdays.
  • Overtime is paid on Saturdays, including for flat-rate technicians.

Essential Functions

  • Performs work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnostics vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicates with Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Road tests vehicles.
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and drivability functions, while following a pre-delivery inspection checklist.
  • Installs optional equipment specified by the customer or dealer.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the Shop Foreman.
  • Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean.
  • Follows the Fixed Right the First Time (FRFT) philosophy.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers.

  • Valid driver’s license
