Service Technician - Building Automation

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on Building Automation Systems, including:
- Database backups
- Controls system performance analysis
- Network diagnostics and optimization
- Central plant and equipment performance testing
- End-user training and support
- Troubleshoot and repair:
- DDC control systems
- HVAC equipment and mechanical systems
- BAS communications networks
- Controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices
- Diagnose complex control sequences and system performance issues
- Execute quoted service projects, upgrades, and system modifications
- Program, commission, and start up DDC control systems as required
- Analyze building performance and recommend operational improvements
- Provide detailed service reports, documentation, and customer updates
- Coordinate with customers, electricians, subcontractors, project teams, and internal stakeholders
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule
- 3+ years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, or commissioning Building Automation Systems
- Experience working with commercial HVAC systems and controls
- Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve BAS and mechanical system issues
- Experience interpreting control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Able to manage service calls with limited supervision

- Siemens Desigo

- Automated Logic (ALC)
- Experience with:
- BACnet
- MSTP/IP Networks
- DDC Programming
- Controller replacement and startup
- HVAC control sequences
- VAV systems
- RTUs
- AHUs
- Chillers
- Boilers
- Central plant applications
- Associate Degree in Applied Technology or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and industry experience considered
- BAS/DDC industry experience strongly preferred
- HVAC mechanical systems experience
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Computer networking experience
- Programming and controls experience
