Service Technician B ($28.81 - $43.72)

Key Responsibilities

• Support new custom machine builds, Installations, troubleshooting, overhauls, audits and repair of high-speed automation equipment in house or at customer site.
• Follow engineering drawings and specifications to build and overhaul high speed automation equipment, and sub-assemblies.
• Disassemble existing systems, evaluate the condition for wear and damage, reassemble using new or reconditioned parts.
• Assemble small machine subassemblies to support spare part program.
• Utilize hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical drawings to build and to perform required service.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and quality standards.
• Use precision measuring and gauging tools to perform required inspection before, during, and after machine build/ re-build.
• Recommend process improvements for equipment design and assembly processes.
• Safely operate forklifts, overhead crane and hand power tools during machine build or overhauls.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly or machinist experience.
• Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
• Must pass a Mechanical Aptitude test.
• Overtime and travel as necessary including weekends and various shift hours.
• Welding skills a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate a lathe or milling machine a plus but not required
• Ability to lift 75lbs.
• Agility to stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach and pull.

Pay

The starting hourly base rate for this role is $28.81 and goes up to $43.72 dependent on years of service within the company. The company also offer a Success Share Bonus that is dependent upon meeting metrics and targets. Please note that the range for the rate provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final rate will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.

Schedule

The position involves working out of the Ardagh Technical Center (ATC) and supporting eight Ardagh Metal Beverage Sites. Shifts may vary based on production schedule requirements.
