Service Technician
About the role
A growing automotive dealership in the greater Merrimack Valley is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join their team at a new location. The right candidate will bring a strong technical background, ASE certification, and factory training.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed of additional service needs and provide time estimates
- Execute warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE Certification required
- Manufacturer factory certification preferred; prior dealership experience a plus
- B-level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Dexterity, steady hand, and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and manufacturer specifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
