Service Technician

Located in Hayward, CA, this full‑time position operates Monday–Friday. With more than 500 technicians across the US and Canada, the Service team is a key differentiator. As a Field Service Technician you will work at customer sites, diagnosing equipment issues, determining what is needed to get the equipment running again, and providing quality communication and craftsmanship to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair battery, engine‑powered and robotic Tennant products.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and resolve complex problems by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and combustion engine problems on customer‑owned Tennant products and similar competitor models.
• Own your territory and plan your daily schedule, including contacting customers to schedule all service activities, and ensure open communication with customers regarding service expectations, timeline estimates, billing, and future service needs.
• Create and maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of all Tennant Company property, including the company vehicle, tools, parts, inventory, and equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and utilize proper PPE.
