Service Technician

The Service Technician serves as a valuable resource for the North American customer by analyzing, diagnosing, and servicing products returned from the field. This position also includes troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on local manufacturing equipment.
About the Role
This position is based in Harleysville, PA and reports to the Production Manager for Pneumatic Instrument Manufacturing (PIM). It is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Collaboration frequently extends beyond the department, including local technical support and international Siemens factories.
Responsibilities
- Receive, analyze, diagnose, document, and repair or otherwise service returned products from Siemens factories outside the US.
- Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on various electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools and equipment used by the local manufacturing department.
- Maintain and follow the PIM preventive maintenance schedule, which includes equipment such as heated hydraulic presses, 2-hand tie-downs, and pneumatic test panels.
- Support the Marketing department by assembling demonstration units for shows and sales presentations upon request.
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent GED
- 5+ years’ experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits and equipment
- Clear and respectful written and verbal communication skills
- Basic Windows and Microsoft Office computer skills
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational school certifications in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system repair
- 2+ years’ experience communicating directly with customers
- 1+ years’ experience using SAP
- Experience in an ISO9001-certified work environment

We offer competitive compensation, including a salary range of $57,120 to $97,920 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
