Service Technician

Role Overview

The General Service Technician performs basic automotive services including oil changes, tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing, and light vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities include using inspection tools to document vehicle conditions, maintaining shop cleanliness, and safely driving vehicles for customer transport and parts pickup.

Key Duties

• Perform tire mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotation
• Conduct oil changes and basic vehicle services
• Utilize Multi-point Inspection and Repair Orders for documentation
• Maintain cleanliness of work and customer areas
• Safely drive vehicles, transport customers, and pick up parts
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic understanding of automotive components (preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for long periods
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and work flexible hours

Working Conditions

The role involves exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures. PPE may be required, and physical demands include bending, stooping, lifting, and mobility to access different shop areas. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.
