Service Technician

About the role

A Rose Valley Management Service Technician is an essential team member who is responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing preventative and routine maintenance throughout the property grounds and in resident units. In this role you’ll help deliver high-quality, hospitality-driven living experiences to our community located in Herdon, VA.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for common area and apartment repairs (routine and preventative) in the scope of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, wall repairs, painting, and appliances.
• Oversight of the building’s curb appeal through building exterior inspections, cleaning, and grounds maintenance.
• Customer service and attention to detail are critical skills to ensure the satisfaction of the community’s residents.
• Responsible for daily cleaning.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems.
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Able to attend team meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required.
• Will be required to be in an on-call rotation with other employees for emergency work orders.

Requirements

• Able to stand and walk inside and outside in all weather.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to endure walking, squatting, bending, balancing, climbing (ladders), kneeling, crawling, and prolonged standing.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, drywall, painting, and snow removal.
• Customer service first attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation for on-call emergencies.
• Experience working in maintenance in an apartment community.
• On-call availability.

Pay

Salary Range: $23 - $25/hr

Schedule

On-call rotation with other employees for emergency work orders.
