About the role
At Plunkett's, our technicians do more than treat pests. They solve problems and help customers feel safe and comfortable. As a Service Technician, you'll manage your own route, provide pest control services, and build strong customer relationships. This route services Edwardsville and the surrounding area.
Responsibilities
- Provide pest control services for homes and businesses
- Inspect properties and treat for common pests
- Build strong customer relationships
- Look for ways to grow your route through sales
- Use basic equipment and tools, and work in indoor and outdoor conditions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Physical requirements: regularly lift and move 25 to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs); perform physical tasks like bending, reaching, and extended walking or sitting
Skills
- Comfortable talking with customers and selling services
- Self‑starter who thrives working independently
- Eager to learn (training and licensing provided)
- Able to use mobile apps for daily tasks
- Bonus points: experience in route sales, account management, or customer service
Schedule
You set your schedule. Flexible hours mean you work when it makes sense—no micromanaging, no fixed 9‑to‑5. Plan your day, prioritize stops, and build lasting client relationships.
Pay
Training pay is $20.00‑$22.00 per hour plus uncapped sales incentives.
