Service Technician

About the role

Join a leading American provider of commercial grocery and foodservice equipment as a skilled, customer-focused Service Technician. In this dynamic field-based role, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain critical foodservice equipment—including refrigeration, cooking systems, ware washers, and baking equipment—helping businesses operate efficiently and without interruption.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial foodservice equipment (cooking, preparation, ware washing, weigh wrap, baking, and refrigeration systems).
• Travel directly from home to customer locations and perform on-site service calls with minimal supervision.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while meeting productivity and performance goals.
• Accurately document service activities, repairs performed, parts utilized, and equipment conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and manage inventory effectively.
• Participate in on-call rotations and overtime as needed.
• Build strong customer relationships through professionalism, technical expertise, and responsive service.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical systems, appliance repair, or building maintenance.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification required; HVAC-related certification or degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel daily for service calls.
• Willingness to attend technical training at the company’s headquarters in Troy, OH.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field.

Pay

$23.00 - $36.00/hour, depending on experience.
