Service Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

• Visit customer locations on a regular schedule and perform planned and unplanned in-home window or sash replacements and repairs.
• Check window/sash installations to ensure proper operation, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction
• Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
• Produce timely and detailed service reports
• Document processes
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
• Must be able to travel overnight
• Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
• Build positive relationships with customers

Requirements

• Education and Training Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of one (1) year experience in window & door manufacturing or related field preferred but no required
• Special Skills Required: Possesses the ability to understand and communicate clearly, demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail, possesses a high degree of organizational skill and has the ability to plan and coordinate
• Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 60 pounds, must be able to stand for long periods
