Service Technician

Location: Rio Hill, Charlottesville, VA · Full-time

About the role

As a Service Technician, you’ll provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents while promoting a quality living experience for all. From completing work orders to routine check-ups, you’ll use your hands-on expertise to ensure residents feel proud to call our communities home.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform assigned repairs in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pools, carpentry, dry wall repair, exterior structures, and appliances.
• Ensure assigned work order requests are responded to promptly and professionally.
• Inspect buildings to ensure safety and cleanliness, alerting the Service Manager and Property Manager immediately to items that need to be addressed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance or related trade.
• CPO Certification (desired/required depending on property).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organizational and time-management abilities.
• A collaborative, solutions-focused, “can-do” attitude.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $22.00 – $24.00 per hour, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The specific compensation offered may vary based on the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
